Original Half-Leather Binding Style of the "Codice Atlantico" [Milan. Hopeli, 1894-1904].
This is a photo of one of the six volumes of
"Codice Atlantico" [Milan. Hopeli, 1894-1904]
in its' original half-leather binding. It was decided
to create new late-19thC style bindings for this
massive sized set, as the strength and life of
these original bindings has all but perished.
